HOW IT WORKS

 

Personal training can be expensive, and group training options rarely provide the personal attention that you need. We solved this problem by including unlimited classes AND a personal trainer in our premium membership.

HOW IT WORKS

Here are four ways that you can work with a personal trainer at Integrity.

1. EASY-START

Taking your first step into fitness is not as hard as you may think.
 
We know it can feel so daunting and so overwhelming, that many people never start.
 
That's why we created the Easy-Start program.
 
It's simple and safe - You just pedal an exercise bike at your own pace for 20 minutes and then go home.
 
Your personal trainer shows you how to setup the bike, how to ride it properly and how to manage your effort.
 
We aim for 3 to 5 short sessions per week, gradually building your confidence and a little fitness as well.
 
You'll continue like this until we both feel that you're ready to prepare for your first class.

 

2. CLASS INTROS

Whether it's your first class, or a new one, we don't just throw you in the deep end!
 
Your personal trainer will give an introductory session that covers class structure, technique and intensity.
 
This is followed up with short practice sessions that simulate a real class environment, so that you'll know what to expect in class.
 
When you're ready to attend a timetabled class, you don't have to do the entire workout. You can try part of it and then leave early.
 
This is a flexible and individual approach - so you can choose the fast-track or you can take it slow and steady. It's totally up to you.
 
Either way, your personal trainer will make sure that your class experience will be enjoyable and effective.

 

3. CLASS COACHING

You’ll never get stuck, not knowing what to do or wondering if your workout is working!
 
Your personal trainer is there to help you through the process of building and maintaining a routine of regular and varied classes.
 
Coaching can be as simple as quick check-ins to answer your questions, fine tune technique, offer suggestions and so on.
 
Your personal trainer will also offer talks and workshops on particular topics related to getting the most out of classes.
 
Your personal trainer can also record video of classes or gather statistics from bike computers, and review them with you to show where improvement is possible.
 
Whatever format this coaching takes, our goal is to help you get the most out of classes. It's flexible and adaptable to your needs.

 

4. CHALLENGES

Challenges are a way to stay motivated, even if you've been doing classes for years.
 
To get started, you choose a class that you'd like to challenge yourself with.
 
Then you work with your personal trainer to establish objectives, a baseline and a personalised plan.
 
Over eight weeks, you work on the challenge in regular classes, checking in with your personal trainer along the way.
 
We focus on improvement goals rather than outcome goals. In other words, we focus on "how" you do things not "how much" you can do.
 
It also means we never do "before and after" photos of you in your undies!
 
With this approach, our clients get great results without all the pressure.

 

What about weight-loss and nutrition?
We can help with weight loss on a one-to-one basis by appointment, and paid separately.

TIM GRAHAM

Tim is a personal trainer with a rare mix of experience, skills and empathy to understand and meet his client's needs.

Tim's life changed once he started working our regularly, and eventually he became a trainer to help others experience the same benefits of exercise.

Tim rejects the usual fitness industry hype and buzzwords.

He looks for incremental improvements, with an eye to the long term. He strongly believes that his role as a trainer is to teach you what you need to know to effect lasting change.

Success means that looking after your health and fitness becomes a case of "love to" not "have to".

Once you commit, so does Tim. He's been known to run a marathon himself, in order to "be there" for a client!

Tim is a Level 3 Registered Exercise Professional with Fitness Australia.
